Experience
Rudy Verner is a member of the firm's commercial litigation and appellate practice groups. He represents clients in a broad range of commercial cases, including matters involving contractual and business relationships, insurance coverage, oil and gas and other natural resource issues. Mr. Verner is also one of a handful of attorneys in Colorado who practices in the area of Media and First Amendment law, counseling television stations and other media outlets on issues pertaining to court access, open records requests and libel and defamation.
Mr. Verner enhances BHGR's litigation and appeals teams with six years experience handling the same for the Denver law firm Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP. Before entering private practice, he served as a law clerk to Judge Timothy M. Tymkovich on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He also served as a law clerk for Judge Sandra I. Rothenberg on the Colorado Court of Appeals. In 2007, Mr. Verner was appointed to the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
At the University of Colorado School of Law, Mr. Verner was an associate editor on the University of Colorado Law Review and Managing Editor of the Journal on Telecommunications and High Technology Law.
Mr. Verner is admitted to practice in Colorado before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
