ABA-EPA Law Office Climate Change Challenge

September 3, 2008

BHGR is pleased to announce the implementation of our first phase of going "Green." We value our environment, and believe we can make a difference in this lifetime by starting today.

Through a program sponsored by The American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy and Resources, in cooperation with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, BHGR actively enrolled in the Law Office Climate Challenge.

"The Law Office Climate Challenge is designed to encourage law offices to take specific steps to conserve energy and resources, as well as reduce emissions of greenhouse gases - which cause global climate change - and other pollutants."

The program addresses four areas: Energy Star, Waste Wise, Green Power, and Best Paper Practices. BHGR have achieved the criteria for Best Paper Practices in part by using 30% recycled content paper and recycling paper products and cardboard.

We are one of 108 law firms in the United States recognized for our commitment to meeting the criteria of the Law Office Climate Challenge. We realize we have met just one step. Our goal is to meet all criteria of the Law Office Climate Challenge, and join six other law firms throughout the country that have established themselves as Green Power Leaders.

BHGR believes that we can begin to help our community by starting with the way we live each day. For more information on the ABA - EPA Law Climate Challenge and our participation, kindly contact Asimakis Iatridis at 03.402.1600.
