As a partner at Berg Hill Greenleaf & Ruscitti LLP, Mr. Merrigan's practice emphasizes litigation and arbitration of commercial disputes of all kinds. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association's Panel of Construction Arbitrators, and handles cases at all levels of the Federal and State Courts throughout Colroado. He represents local government and private sector clients in areas ranging from land use and zoning to taxation and employment cases. His construction practice concentrates on helping both owners and contractors with mechanic's liens and construction disputes.
Mr. Merrigan is a member of the American, Colorado, Boulder, and Adams-Broomfield Bar Associations and is a member of the Construction Industry Forum of the ABA, the Colorado Municipal League, and the Denver Metropolitan City Attorney's Association. He is a past-President of the Adams County Bar Association and is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.
Mr. Merrigan received his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1971 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver School of Law in 1976. He enjoys many different sports and recreational activities, and has completed 13 marathons.
