Melissa M. Heidman is Special Counsel with Berg Hill Greenleaf & Ruscitti, LLP. Her practice emphasizes civil litigation, commercial litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, construction litigation.

Ms. Heidman received her Juris Doctor from Drake University in 1992. She completed her B.A. at the University of Iowa in 1989. She is a member of the Boulder County, Iowa State, the Colorado and American Bar Associations. She is licensed to practice law in both Colorado and Iowa. Prior to joining Berg Hill Greenleaf & Ruscitti, Ms. Heidman served as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice James H. Carter of the Iowa Supreme Court. Ms. Heidman also served as a research attorney for the Honorable Joaquin Manibusan Jr. in the Superior Court of Guam for five years.

Ms. Heidman relocated to Boulder after living in Guam for five years where she traveled extensively in the outer lying islands of Micronesia as well as in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.  Outside of the office, Ms. Heidman enjoys running, swimming, skiing, pilates, cooking and spending time with her husband and two children.
