Ann M. Rhodes' legal practice emphasizes environmental, natural resources, and water law. She assists clients in both the private and public sectors with transactions, compliance issues, and litigation related to property, pollution, regulatory issues, and water rights. She also guides clients through the appellate process as needed.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Rhodes worked for many years as an electrical and software engineer specializing in international telecommunications. During that period she started a software company with two colleagues and successfully guided it through a series of acquisitions, one of which involved Intel Corporation. She worked closely with clients in Europe, Asia, and South America.
At the University of Colorado School of Law, Ms. Rhodes helped achieve victories for her American Indian Law Clinic clients in the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court. She also wrote and edited articles for the Colorado Journal of International Environmental Law and Policy. After graduating with honors, Ms. Rhodes served as a law clerk to the Honorable Arthur P. Roy on the Colorado Court of Appeals.
She resides in Boulder with her family. In her free time, Ms. Rhodes enjoys debating important and trivial matters with her children, playing outside, studying the interface between technology and the environment, and learning something new every day.
